This is the setup I am going to have in my car (procured, but yet to install).
Eclipse CD7200MKII
CDT ES-62i
IDQ 12 D4 V3
My problem is the Amp for the Sub. I was very keen on the JL Audio 500/1, but it costs close to four times more in India! Can I get some suggestions for an alternative to this Amp? Since I already have high-end stuff, I don't want to compromise on this.
Help Needed...

Hey Vivek, give us an idea of what brands are available in India. Then we can find some good ones for you.

Well Mike, I get Image Dynamics, JBL, Sony, Pioneer, Kenwood amongst others. I am open to other brands too. I can probably try to get them imported if required.

I would personally recommend ID or JBL of those choices. ID is probably very expensive for an amp though. The BPX500.1 from JBL is a solid option.

I would also go ID or JBL in this case. They are the two best you have listed. Both will have a pretty high price tag if you buy from an authorized dealer. ID will probably cost a little more. If you choose Pionee I would go with the Premier line.

Steve, I just happened to read your post in another thread, where you mentioned that it is possible to run the sub off the New CDT Amp.
I missed to mention in my first post that I also have the SQA Amp (again from Mike). Can I finish my setup with this Amp. I'll be thrilled if yes!!

Hey Vivek, I entirely forgot you had purchased the SQA but were using a single component set for it. I remember discussing with you at the time that you could run the sub off the back two channels.
Your subwoofer needs to have a 4-ohm final load, so it can be a single 4 ohm sub or a dual 2 ohm sub. From there you can bridge the CDT SQA-4100's rear channels which will give you about 320w RMS into a single channel. An efficient sub will work well off this power.

If you can't run it of your CDT I can get you an RE 12.1 that will do the job just fine.
But like Mike said, you can run the sub off the rear channels since you already have the amp.

Ok. I am planning to start my install next week (Finally!!!).
I have decided to buy a Mono Amp instead of running the sub off the SQA. Sub will be IDQ12V3. And the Mono AMP will be the Image Dynamics 600.1.
Any thoughts / suggestions? Anybody using these amps? Or heard them?

That is a VERY nice sub/amp combo. The amp will do rated power and it is very clean.
For the sub if possible I suggest doing IB. If not do a sealed enclosure of about 1.25cu ft. That is what ID has stated are audiophile specs for the sub. But if you can I highly suggest IB.
I also suggest sound deadening atleast the doors to get a nice seal for the mid. Take some double sided tape or velcro and play with the tweeter location/angle before mounting.
Oh ya, take pics.

IB is a good idea, but I have no clue how to go about it. Can someone please help?

With IB you are going to seal off the enitre trunk from the inside of the car. I mean everything. I take it your back seat folds down? You will need to build a guess you could call it a wall where the back seat folds down and mount the sub in there. You will also want to seal off the rear deck. Where any holes are to include the rear speakers. I would just take them out and put some wood in the hole. The entire trunk will be your enclosure. I have some good websites saved on my laptop so I will get them for you in a within the next day. If done properly you will get the most natural sound out of this sub.
