I have been considering the CDT QES-1220 subwoofer for my 01 Chevy Impala. Is it recommended to put this in a sealed or vented enclosure?

The QES-1220 performs best in a sealed enclosure that is about .65 cu ft. If you build the box don't forget to take driver displacement into consideration.
