Just got my 1st set of CDT speakers ,http://www.woofersetc.com/p4609/CL51A25-PRO--CDT-Audio-Classic-525"-2-Way-Component-Speakers.htm very happy with them so far. Subwoofer is an Elemental Design 13av.2 with a Soundstream PCX 1500D amp. The problem i'm having is the CL51s only play down to about 90-80hrz, but the sub is best to have crossed at 60hrz, its in a sealed 1.3cu box. So my question what midrange/midbass driver would be best at blending with the CL51s and the 13av.2. The amp for the fronts is an Audison SRX 4, Cl51s are in a qlogic kick panel, and the 6.5in mids will be in the doors. Looking at these http://www.woofersetc.com/p1563/CL6CF--CDT-Audio-65"-Carbon-Fiber-Midranges.htm or http://www.woofersetc.com/p4850/M6i--CDT-Audio-65"-300-Watt-MidBass-subbass-driver-(Individual).htm The front doors have alot of dynamat and the panels have the brush on edead from elemental designs with their edead V4 teklite neoprene foam on top of that.

Sorry - haven't been able to get on much lately. Are you looking to replace the 5.25" midbass driver you already have or are you trying to add another driver to the set? The first option would be move advised.

Looking to add another set and upgrade to the EX 30 crossover. The problem is the 13av.2 sub is best at deep bass, anything above 60hrz rolls off very quick, the CL 51s just sound over driven with a 80hrz cutoff 90ish sounds best, even tried them in the doors and it was an improvement but not much. I've also been thinking about just keeping the CL51s in the door and add the CL69 subs (6x9) in the rear deck, but would the pressure for the sub effect them at all?
