saab9-3

First of all I had never heard of CDT before I was thinking of upgrading my 6x9 woofers in the parcel shelf. Only CDT and Cadence could deliver such speakers.
I have a 08 Saab 9-3 with the Bose sound system. I think it sounds okay, but I'd like to have more better highs and lows. By that I mean the highs in the system is a bit "woolly" and the lows doesn't have that much punch for my liking.
I know there are 11 speakers in the system which is hooked up to an 11-ch digital amp. First I'd like to try to upgrade for the least amount of money since I'm a student. I have no idea of how the system is set up crossover-wise. It might not be an easy fix to upgrade it.
On the dash I have 2x2.5" and 3.5" center, 2x6.5" in the doors, 2x5.25" in the rear doors, 2x 6x9" and 2x3.5" in the parcel shelf.
This is what caught my eye first.

If I disconnect the 3.5" speakers and put that crossover in between and add the tweeter to the system. Would that improve the highs in the system? I have no idea how many ohms the speakers have.
Then I was thinking of changing the 6x9" in the parcel shelf. From what I can see now the ones I have now have neodymium magnets. I have no idea of ohms on them. Could the original woofers be swapped with these ones? Is it possible they are better than the factory ones? Would the original amp handle these? http://cdtstore.com/subwoofers/cl69sub_cf.htm
What I was thinking of if the original amp is to small for these 6x9" - I could hook up a small digital amp to the high-level inputs from the outputs of the original amp, and then use the new amp to power the 6x9" in the parcel shelf.
